MISS ROOTIN’ TOOTIN’ ANNIE

A bold, brassy cowgirl with a voice as loud as her reputation, Rootin’ Tootin’ Annie sings in whatever register suits her at the moment—and expects the world to keep up. She wears a striking red cowgirl skirt and shirt trimmed with blue embroidery and white fringe, paired with matching red cowgirl boots that announce her arrival well before she speaks. Confident, fearless, and unapologetically noisy, Annie takes up space wherever she goes.

An expert sharpshooter and accomplished horsewoman, Annie is the sort of woman people summon by telegram when trouble arises—and she always answers the call. She is best friends with Sheriff J. Bell, whom she trusts implicitly, and can ride across Eutopia County at a moment’s notice if he needs her help.

Annie is deeply smitten with Deputy Rock N. Tune, though she prefers to show it through teasing, bravado, and playful intimidation rather than sentimentality. Their romance is fueled by distance and anticipation, as Annie’s appearances in town are always brief and purpose‑driven—leaving Rock to pine, practice, and dream until her next dramatic return.

A gleeful blend of Annie Oakley precision and Jessie‑from‑Toy Story exuberance, Rootin’ Tootin’ Annie embodies freedom, fire, and frontier confidence. She blows in like a fanfare, turns the town upside down, and rides out again—leaving noise, excitement, and at least one besotted deputy in her wake.

In the pilot episode, Annie and Avery are often doubled, allowing one actor to play Avery in Act I and Annie in Act II. Avery “digs down” to take gold from the land, while Annie rides across the county answering calls by telegram to protect the land. Annie’s a dramatic release after Avery’s removal.
